When you loose out your job or probably for some reason you become unemployed, you will always need to have some financial cover. Such a cover will enable you to cater for you’re basic needs like food, shelter and clothing as you seek for alternative employment. It therefore needs you to claim the unemployment benefits that should cover this. The earlier you place a claim for this fund the better because getting late would mean that you will get the unemployment benefits late too. In some states you can get your benefits within a period of two weeks while in others, it would take a little bit longer. Like earlier said, you would be entitled to get your benefits fast if you claim them as soon as you discover that you are unemployed. This is because there would be fast processing of your dues that would enable you get it on time. Some people have been wondering what happens when they delay in either claiming there benefits or when delay in going to take it from the bank after being given a check. It would be important that once you are laid off you make haste and present your claim forms. For the unemployment benefits not paid, the owners would be conducted to come and make a claim. Note that there is a certain period within which you need to make a claim. If you cannot make it within that time period, the money would be returned back to the social security fund. That means that if you come for the late claims, there would be some penalty that you would be charged. Make your claims as soon as possible.
