Chinese Whispers

“Chinese Whispers” is a game in which a message is passed on, in a whisper, by each of a number of people, until the last member announces the message to the entire group. According to Indianapolis Translation Services workers, because of the errors in retelling the final version of the message is often radically changed from the original. Sometimes a player deliberately changes the meaning of what is being said to be sure that the effect will be amusing. The game is popular among children all over the world under a number of names: “Stille Post” (the German Translation for “silent post”), Telephono senza fili (the Italian Translation for “Cordless phone”), Gluchy Telefone (the Polish Translation for “deaf phone’), Счупен телефон (the Bulgarian Translation for “broken telephone”) and other.
